Lasercut Letterpress

'ozK'
As a group we agreed to work with a dark blue, and use metallic colours for our lettpress print. The paper size is A1, we created six of these, the majority were successful, there were a couple with came out a little muffled.
The first letter 'k' was printed first in a metallic silver
Testing Paint

We easily decided to use silver and gold, however, we wanted another metallic but in colour to allow the print more variety and vibrance. So we tested on our draft print with 3 colours and came up with an appealing crimson colour.

Rolling on paint onto the acrylic laser cut

These acrylic letters were initially designed by me and several others of us on Adobe Illustrator. We had a restricted size to work on with a limited use of type faces. The letters could be either uppercase, lowercase, any size, composition etc.
Final Outcome of Lasercut Letterpress

Here is our successful print, using an 'o' 'k' and 'Z' the letters we chose have no meaning but were chosen through the fact we liked how they flowed into one composition.
